Jesse Baker Supervisor Jesse is a native of the great state of Oregon. He moved here from Northern California in 1997 where he worked for a small fire department as a seasonal firefighter. He became a volunteer firefighter with Northeast Teller County Fire Protection District in Woodland Park just after moving here. He progressed to a volunteer Lieutenant and later worked as a part-time paid firefighter for them. He started working for Woodland Park Ambulance Service as an EMT-B in 2000. In 2001 he took a position with American Medical Response in Colorado Springs as an EMT-B. After getting several years of experience as an EMT-B in a busy urban system he attended Paramedic school at Pikes Peak Community College in Colorado Spring. He graduated in the spring of 2005 with an award for clinical excellence and was then promoted to Paramedic at AMR. Jesse maintained his membership with WPAS and was hired as a full time Paramedic in August of 2006. Given Jesse’s dedication to education and work he has not had much of a social life over the past couple years. When he does find free time he enjoys mountain biking and snow boarding among other outdoor activities; however, both of those activities have proven to inflate his yearly contributions to the insurance companies and healthcare providers in the Colorado Springs area. Jesse’s other passion aside from medicine is the culinary arts. His whole roasted pig and mustard BBQ sauce are two things everyone should try at least once. |
